So close to five stars

I’ve been a fanatical user of Day One for sometime. I was anxiously awaiting the new version after hearing about the ability to post multiple pictures to a journal entry. That feature really enticed me to upgrade. I love that new feature by the way. It works great. I have also really grown to love the ability to have multiple journals. That’s a feature I didn’t realize I’d use and now I wouldn’t want to do without it. I am indifferent regarding the forced move to Day One servers for the sync feature. I’m hoping this is a more secure method of backing up and syncing compared to the other options. At least that is what Day One seems to suggest. So I’m very positive on Day One 2. However, and here’s where I’m really annoyed, I cannot believe Day One got rid of the “year ago today” feature in notification centre. Now there is a useless option to start a new entry in its place. I do not anticipate using that feature at all, whereas I used to start every morning by checking what happened a year ago in my journal. So a big boo hiss from me on deciding to change how Day One works with notification centre….Otherwise Day One 2 is really great.
